Submission Guidelines

Scribeia welcomes manuscripts from all fields of science, engineering, and interdisciplinary research. Our submission process emphasizes openness, fairness, and accessibility, ensuring that authors can share their work without unnecessary barriers. Manuscripts may be submitted in any readable format for initial review, provided they are prepared ethically and clearly.

Before You Submit

Authors should familiarize themselves with Scribeia’s Ethical Standards for Authors and Peer Review Process before submission. Submissions that do not meet our ethical or formatting expectations may be returned for revision prior to review.

  • Ensure the work is original and not under consideration by another publication.
  • Prepare a clear, well-organized manuscript that communicates your findings effectively.
  • Confirm that all authors have approved the final version and agree to submission.
  • Include statements of ethics approval, funding, and conflicts of interest where applicable.
  • Remove all identifying information from the manuscript to enable double-blind peer review.

Manuscript Format

To promote inclusivity and flexibility, Scribeia accepts manuscripts in any readable format for initial submission. This may include Microsoft Word, LaTeX, PDF, Markdown, or other legible text formats. What matters most is clarity, structure, and completeness.

  • The manuscript must be anonymized to facilitate double-blind review — remove author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and any self-identifying references.
  • Figures and tables should be numbered, captioned, and referenced within the text.
  • Equations, datasets, and algorithms should be formatted in a readable manner.
  • References should include DOIs where possible and follow either IEEE or APA style, as appropriate for the discipline.

After Acceptance

Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, authors are required to prepare the final version using the IEEE Transactions LaTeX template and provide both the LaTeX source files and a corresponding PDF version.

  • The LaTeX submission ensures consistency in style, accessibility, and digital archiving across Scribeia journals.
  • Authors unfamiliar with LaTeX may request guidance or formatting support from the Scribeia editorial team.
  • Final manuscripts must include the full author list, affiliations, acknowledgments, and funding details that were omitted for peer review.

Cover Letter and Supplementary Materials

A short cover letter should accompany your submission to help editors understand the paper’s significance. Authors may also include supplementary materials such as datasets, source code, or appendices to enhance transparency and reproducibility.

  • Briefly describe the purpose, novelty, and importance of your work.
  • Disclose any prior dissemination (e.g., preprints, conference presentations).
  • List suggested reviewers, if applicable, along with their institutional affiliations.

Figures, Tables, and Supporting Data

Visual materials and datasets must be of sufficient quality to aid comprehension and replication.

  • Provide figures in standard formats such as PNG, JPEG, or PDF (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Use vector graphics for charts and line drawings whenever possible.
  • Label all axes, units, and legends clearly for independent understanding.
  • Upload data, code, or supplementary documents as separate files with descriptive names.

Language and Clarity

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English. Authors are encouraged to use professional editing services or AI-assisted grammar tools responsibly to improve readability while maintaining originality.

  • Use consistent terminology and avoid ambiguous abbreviations.
  • Define all acronyms upon first use.
  • Maintain an objective and scholarly tone throughout.

Submission Steps

  • Create an author account or log in to the Scribeia online submission portal.
  • Select the appropriate journal and article type (Research, Review, Case Study, or Commentary).
  • Upload the anonymized manuscript, figures, tables, and any supplementary materials.
  • Attach a cover letter summarizing the work’s originality and impact.
  • Confirm all authorship, ethics, and conflict of interest statements before final submission.

Post-Submission and Review

After submission, the manuscript will undergo editorial screening and double-blind peer review. Authors may track progress and communicate with the editorial team through their dashboard. Decisions and reviewer feedback will be communicated transparently and promptly.

Final Preparation and Publication

Upon final acceptance and LaTeX submission, Scribeia performs copyediting, proofing, and metadata validation. Authors review page proofs before the paper is published online under an open-access license. Each published article receives a DOI and is indexed across major scholarly databases.
